GIS 4035- Remote Sensing and Photo Interpretation-Week 1- Visual Image Interpretation - Identifying Features

 


I was truly excited to begin Week 1 of the Remote Sensing and Photo Interpretation portion of the UWF Master's of GIS Admin Program.  I have enjoyed learning all about various passive and active remote sensing systems that can be used in various practical applications.  Lab exercises included identifying features on a map image such as shadows, shape and size,  associating features, and pattern.  We also learned how to evaluate images to distinguish between different tones and textures of an image.  Finally, we evaluated differences between "True Color" and "False Color" imagery.
