Module 5: Exploring and Manipulating Data

During Module 5, we explored various data sets and learned how to utilize Python scripts to manipulate data. We also learned about working with search cursors, lists, and dictionaries. I spent a good amount of time practicing these concepts using the lab exercises.  I am becoming more comfortable with the Python syntax overall.  Although we learned about many complex concepts this week, I am most proud of the fact that I finally figured out how to add a blank line to the script so that the output would be easier to read! The concept was introduced last week as an "optional" lesson, but I did not become comfortable with it until this week!  I am more confident in adding scripts to print messages which detail what the script is doing and the date/time the process is completed.  In general, I worked through the assignment at an acceptable speed, but I spent the most time on creating and populating dictionaries.
